Veggiebun’s Food Trail
Food, food, and more food…Archive for baked rice
Guess where these are from?
After constant accusation from Dreamy that I have abandoned my beloved Vegetarian Health Food restaurant, I decided to go there again. (Haha.. just joking. It was because I miss the asam fish)
Vegetarian “mutton” bryani. This is very good too. Do give it a try. I think they always maintained their high standards.
My favourite asam fish (comes with white rice and popadam).
Hehe.. How can I possibly not order the world’s best vegetarian char siew, rite?
($3 for two piece of char siew)

Cream of Mushroom. I love garlic bread with creamy soup.

Vegetable baked rice. Very nice!
Vegetarian lasagne. Very nice too. Actually the sauce and vegetables are exactly the same as the one for baked rice.
Croissant with ice-cream. Hmmm.. I think both does not match very well. A warm croissant with melted butter would be much better.

Tofu bolognaise. Edible, but sauce is too diluted.
Baked rice. Very tasty.
Vegetarian Health Food
Mixed rice. Hehe… my favourite ‘mui choy’ and ‘char siew’.
Mee rebus. Not really nice although it looks really appetizing. No fight with my favourite mee rebus from the Marsiling hawker centre (near Marsiling MRT).
P/S: Crystal, if you are reading this, can you give the directions to the chee cheung fun stall at Marsiling again? I can’t find your directions and I lost my way there. So in the end we ate at Causeway Point.
Little Pot Rice
I tried the Pou Jai Fun (a.k.a. Little Pot Rice) at the Vegetarian Health Food yesterday. It’s very nice because we had not eaten this for a long time (even before we became vegetarian). The rice is topped with chunks of mock sausages, mock salted fish and tofu. Very nice indeed!
Nowadays, I miss VHF’s food so much during the weekdays. Too bad that we can only go there during weekends because it is too far away. In fact, last weekend, we also ate mixed rice, nasi lemak, vegetarian asam fish there.
Pastamania (West Mall)
I went to West Mall last week and was quite surprised that the old Sapporo restaurant had been replaced with Pastamania. Here’s what I ate.
