Best eaten as it is (without adding black vinegar).  Liked the thick broth very much.

Honey Sauce Mock Pork (L) & Broccoli with Vegetarian Scallops (R)

 Loved the mock pork so much that I wished that we had more even though it was nothing like the Dong Bo Rou (meat dish) that it was named after. The sweet and saltish mock pork was chewy and springy intead. This would be one of the mock meat dish that I would order again.  The broccoli stir fry was OK because I found that the mock scallops were quite unnecessary.

  Cripy fried willow mushroom coated with sweet and salty Marmite sauce! Who could have thought that Marmite could make mushrooms taste so good??!! Wow!! ~~~  The two dishes were quite normal though…

Nyonya Style Mock Fish

 Hmmm… a little too sour for my liking and I didn’t like the mock fish. 

Eight Treasures Beancurd (L) & Crispy Vegetarian Chicken with Fresh Fruit Salad

 Oh, beancurd with special olive sauce! I liked it very much as it is different from usual Chinese food. True to its name the crispy vegetarian chicken is really crispy but I can’t really remember how it tasted like now. Haha..

 Time for some dessert! This wasn’t sweet enough.

Honey Dew and Strawberry Sago

Oooh.. I love this.. sago dessert with ice-cream as well. Hehe.. actually I love anything with sago in it.

The wassant (chocolate, kaya and cream) are so tasty!!! freshly out of the oven, they are so soft and still warm!!!

But, the round Brazillian cheese bun and mayo egg bread are not good. Hard and cold.

Only the bread crumbs fried tofu is very good. The others are just ok, including the steamed milk

Relatives visited and wanted to eat chicken rice. So we went to the famous Boon Tong Kee restaurant at Bukit Timah. Had white rice, mushroom and broccoli and fried tofu with mayonaise. The fried tofu is really tasty when eaten with lots of mayonaise. Crispy in the outside and soft in the inside.

Lao Sar Bao – The flowing custard buns. This is the reason why I have to go to Spring Garden whenever I go to KL. The savoury filling is so tasty.. Yums… ~~~ (Costs RM12 per rack of three small buns.)

Fried yam ring. This is also my favourite! Haven’t found better tasting one elsewhere yet.

Braised ee fu noodles (with dried shredded scallop omitted by request). Love this as well.

Luo Han Zai. Mixed veggies which include broccoli, carrot, corn, button mushroom, white & black fungus and beancurd skin.

Glutinous rice balls in coconut milk. YUCKS!!! Don’t order this unless you like drinking tasteless coconut cream.

Not sure what this is called but the “cups” were very crispy and contained stir fried vegetables. Quite nice. My only complaint is that I have to get rid of the mock ham.
