Veggiebun’s Food Trail

Food, food, and more food…

The Whole Earth

Hehe.. this is one my favorite restaurants at the moment. We are quite surprised to find this restaurant in Geylang (somewhere near the Southern Vegetarian restaurant)

Fried seaweed, Sambal, Pickles. I love the sambal so much!!! Just like real sambal with belacan. Yummy!!!

Asam pedas (comes with deep fried mock fish slices, see picture below). Believe me, this is REALLY SOUR!!! Haha… but once you swallowed the first spoonful, you’ll want more. We ordered another bowl of rice because of this dish.

Fried mock fish.

Bibik’s Buah Keluak. I heard about this popular dish in many travel shows but never had a chance to try it until now. We immediately ordered this when we saw it on the menu. We love the fried mock meat in this “curry”.

Buah Keluak (close up view) from Bibik’s Buah Keluak. A teaspoon is used to dig out the flesh of this fruit, which looks gross. Haha… and the taste is quite gross too. Sort of like something fermented. There are three in the bowl but we can’t even finish one. Haha…. (The menu stated that if you require extra fruits, you’ll be charge $3 for each.) So, we actually wasted $6. :P

Sambal kangkung. Love this too! We’ll definitely order this again.

Total bill: $48 (Includes all the food shown above, one fresh coconut drink, mango nectar drink, three bowls of white rice, GST and service charge).

My new fav restaurant!! But like you say, too ex for eating there frequently

Btw, I just noticed that they actually don’t add in GST and service charge. So the price on the menu is already inclusive of those liao.. ;)
