Veggiebun’s Food Trail

Food, food, and more food…

Vegetarian Health Food

Mixed rice. Hehe… my favourite ‘mui choy’ and ‘char siew’.

Mee rebus. Not really nice although it looks really appetizing. No fight with my favourite mee rebus from the Marsiling hawker centre (near Marsiling MRT).

P/S: Crystal, if you are reading this, can you give the directions to the chee cheung fun stall at Marsiling again? I can’t find your directions and I lost my way there. So in the end we ate at Causeway Point.

Hi Veggie Bun,
Ok, sorry for being late. Poor you, so sorry. The place is ulu lah.

Are you travelling by Bus or are you driving?

By Bus 903, board the bus at Causeway Point Bus Interchange. Out from the interchange, it will pass by the Republic Polytechnic (on your right), then it will turn left and shortly turn right, now just look out, almost there already. So you will see HDB flat blk 13, 13A on your left and Seiko Instruments on your right.

Once you pass Blk 16, press the bell and alight at Blk 19 (you can see New Life Bible Church and Okamoto factory.

From the bus stop, we can see the wet market blk 21, just walk along the pavement between the coffeeshop at blk19 and wet market, it will lead you to blk 20 the old hawker centre.

In the hawker centre, it is situated in the middle, not the outer side.

If you miss the stop, the bus will bring you to old woodlands centre (near custom) and loop back to Woodlands Interchange.

HK style chee cheong fun is softer and smoother and mushroom, prawn etc can be added to it, if i am not wrong.

NUH foodcourt have a stall selling chee cheong fun, you order and they make on the spot. I requested for vegetarian version. Not sure still there or not. HK style CCF is different from our local CCF.

Crystal, thanks for your detailed explanation. We drove there and saw blk 19 but can’t find 20. Now I know why.. thanks!!!

yup yup.. HK CCF is very nice and smooth.. I like the black soya based sauce very much. The last time I ate that was more than 1 yr ago at the Red Star restaurant (non-veg version)

:) Veggiebun, in fact, you are there already. If you see blk 19, or at blk 19 carpark, blk 20 is just infront of blk 19, you can see from carpark, just walk across blk 19.

Chong Pang Hawker Ctr (blk 105)near Chong Pang CC, also got HK CCF, $2 per pc (request for veg option – mushroom with soy sauce plus spring onion & shallot, no chilli). I had it few days back after reading this post. Taste ok lah :p

Keep posting, love to read your blog and see the nice photos.

Yeah, I must have missed it. Will try to go there again. ;)

Which part of SG is Chong Pang?

I’ll continue posting, just that recently I’m slightly busy. Hehe.. Already collected quite a few photos..

Excellent, love your posts :) You must have spend a lot of time on it. Going to recommend your blog to non-veg friends who are looking for veg. foods.

Chong Pang is @ Yishun Ave 5 and Sembawang Rd, infront of ADSD Complex, very near to Woodlands via Gambas Ave.

There is 2 vegetarian stalls at the hawker centre but nothing special.

One vegetarian shop at the wet market that sells mock stuff etc.

Happen to chance upon a quite nicely furnish coffeeshop with Veg stall. Haven’t tried. Near Yishun MRT, blk 747 @ yishun st 72.

Visa Point @ Woodlands Ave 4/Woodlands Dr 44, the food court got a veg. stall (something like Koufu at Woodlands Mart), didn’t go there for quite sometime, should be there.

Woodlands Nth Plaza @ blk 883, woodlands st 81 (near Man Fut Tong Old people’s home) got a veg. stall, sells different dishes daily, wonton mee, mee siam, lontong etc @ $2. Traditional fried beehoon without any veg @ 70cents. Taste Ok, cheap and mainly for BF.

Republic Polytechnic got veg. food too, haven’t venture to that yet and not sure which canteen.

Ooops got to stop, :p i stay in Woodlands and happens to know these few places.
