Claypot Rice

This is from the NUS Engineering Canteen. It’s quite nice but after finishing the whole pot, I got kinda “scared” of the ginger taste. They cook this with plenty of the dark soy sauce with lots of grated ginger. (Most of the sauce is at the bottom, so it can’t be seen from this photo.) I would say VHF’s claypot rice is still my favourite! :P

Nasi Lemak

This nasi lemak is from the hawker center near Marsiling. The taste is just ok. Not as good as the one from VHF.

Canteen food

Fried noodle from the Indian stall. Actually I don’t really like the fried noodle but I’ve got really bored with prata & thosai every day so I decided to eat this. Hehe… this fried noodle’s taste will last throughout the day because of the large amount of garlic & onions used. :P

Kway chap from the Vegetarian stall. I am quite surprised that the vegetarian stall’s kway chap is very tasty. I had actually given up eating from this stall for quite some time ever since I ate from this stall for more than one month at the beginning of this year. I got so tired of the same fried beehoon, fried hor fun, fried hash brown, fried popiah, and stir-fry green beans that they served each morning.

Soup & rice

We visited the Vegetarian Health Food restaurant again.

Mixed rice. The rendang style mutton curry is very, very delicious! Haven’t tasted rendang for such a long time already and finally found it here.. :P ~~

Winter melon soup. One word… Good!!!

Cheap and good food

@ Hawker stall near Marsiling MRT again.

Mee rebus. Very nice! I love their mee rebus very much. I’ve tried the mee rebus from the vegetarian stall at the Koufu foodcourt in Woodlands but I still find that I like this stall’s mee rebus better. :P ~~

Mock meat dumpling. Their dumplings are always very nice. It’s taste is just like those non-veg dumpling. They would have been even better when eaten with Thai sweet chili sauce (my favorite!).
